A lot of virtual jobs can be found in the Internet. Many offer either part time or full time home based jobs. People prefer to work at home because it offers a lot of convenience to the worker. Types of jobs include call center sales and assistance, web design, telemarketing and telesales, data typing, transcriptions, article writing, proofreading, editing, survey inputs, research and the like. A virtual job worker can be employed even if the employer is based in other countries. There are also virtual job recruiters though who prefer workers from the same country of origin. Many home-based workers have professed the easy flow of income while enjoying the benefits of working at home. With the inset of global recession, many companies shut down. This phenomenon adds to the growing number of unemployed individuals who cannot find jobs elsewhere. Thus, these people explore opportunities in the world wide web. Some though prefers to work at home because it provides avenue to better take care of children and the like despite employable status in companies.
Since
virtual jobs
can be alluring to a lot of hopeful workers, there are many who fall
victims to fraudulent virtual recruiter jobs. Absence of a face-to-face
contact and/or contract allows the employer to easily disregard the
employees’ requests for payments of accomplished tasks. Many
companies and individuals wish to profit from naïve employees.
Some instructs applicants to pay a certain amount to process the
applications. These are all scams. No one should be required to pay to
get a job. However, there are still many who send their financial
records such as credit card numbers or PayPal payments. Unfortunately,
they do not hear anything more from the employer. Worse, their credit
card information is used for identity theft.
Legitimate virtual job employers on the other hand suffer from lack of responsibility of their workers. Since there is no outright interaction as in the 8 hour work setting, hired workers tend to neglect schedules and/or unable to meet deadlines. This in turn results to employers loss and inefficient delivery to its clients. Virtual jobs can truly be an exciting and comfortable work setting if workers are able to find legitimate virtual job recruiters. As in any job hiring, employers should provide initial work assessment, interviews, resume requirements, assign work regularly, terms of employment and payments for completed output or work hours. Others have scheduled live chats with virtual employees. Some prefers email and messenger interactions. Virtual jobseekers should research the background of prospective employers. This is their major responsibility. Otherwise, they have no right to complain if their employers do not pay them in the end. Hundreds of threads and blog sites discuss scams and unfortunate losses of experienced writers, call centers agents, etc. Indeed, virtual job hunting is like shooting a bird in the sky. People should get enough information about employers and applicants alike. Proper arrangements should be made prior to work assignments to avoid delays and inefficiencies on both parts. If possible, conduct a face-to-face meeting and/or interview to better establish the working relationship. This website is currently sponsored by Blue Traffic, a midwest search marketing company. |
